The City of Tampa would like to share upcoming opportunities for public input on the South Howard Flood Relief Project. Planned infrastructure improvements will be discussed during a Tampa City Council workshop in the morning, followed by a Tampa City Council meeting in the evening on Thursday, January 29, 2026.
At the evening city council meeting, council members will vote on whether to transfer $21,495,000 within the Stormwater Bond Series 2023 Fund for the South Howard Flood Relief Project.
Your voice matters in this process. City Council relies on feedback from residents and neighborhood leaders to better understand local needs and concerns, helping shape informed decisions that reflect the community’s perspective. We encourage the community to participate by attending the workshop and the council meeting in person or by submitting comments in advance via email to the Tampa City Council. Community input is a vital part of City decision-making, and your participation helps ensure Council members have a clear picture of neighborhood priorities and the level of support for the project.
If you have any questions about the workshop, project details, or how to submit comments, please get in touch with the South Howard Flood Relief Project team at (813) 467-7887 or info@SHStormwater.com.
